Medical Standard for SI and ASI for Delhi Police and CAPF

The candidate qualified in paper-2 require to appear for Medical Examination.The medical test is to ensure health status.They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

AS per the available number of vacancy even if you qualify second paper still the the ratio to get selected is one out of four. So be ready for medical Examination.

Medical Standards :

1 Eye Sight:

The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.

Very Very Important :-

( If any candidate have undergone Laser surgery for eyes correction , Never disclose it to doctors if they suspects that you have done with laser. Simply say No – I have not undergone any Laser Surgery because a doctor can never claim that you have undergone Laser surgery until and unless he recommends you for Machine Test — And for fresh medical cases Machine Test is not authorized to Doctors there for SSC CPO SI Post so simply stick to your point that you have not undergone any laser surgery and after some time pass they will accept you. (Laser is the only way in case of eyes)

2 Carrying Angle :

  • When arms are held out sides and  palms are facing forward, forearm and hands should normally be about 5 to 15 degrees away from body.
  • Carrying angle should be  
                     ->For male  15˚
                     ->For female: 20˚ 

3 Ear : 

  1. Candidate should not have any degree of deafness or persistent ear discharge.
  2. Candidate should not have any other condition (congenital or acquired) like atresia of the meatus, exostosis, neoplasm which is causing obstruction of ear passage and should not have history of recurrent earache, tinnitus and vertigo.

4 Nose :

  • Candidates should not have DNS, atrophic rhinitis, tubercular ulceration, chronic sinusitis.

5 Neck : 

  • Candidate should not have enlarged lymph nodes, thyroid or other swelling of neck, inability to extend the neck fully or any evidence of disease of spine or cervical vertebrae.

6 Teeth :

  • Candidate must possess sufficient number of sound teeth for efficient mastication. Candidate should not have severe pyorrhea.

7 Venereal Disease: 

  • Candidate should not have active signs of clinical VD.

8 Chronic skin diseases: 

  • Candidate should not have chronic skin diseases like Leprosy, chronic dermatitis, extensive PityriasisVersicolor, psoriasis, SLE etc.

General Standards:

  • Speech should be without impediment i.e. no stammering.
  • The candidate should not have any indication of chronic disease like TB, any type of arthritis, high blood pressure, Diabetes, Bronchial Asthma, any heart disease.
  • Candidate should not have perceptible and visible glandular swelling anywhere in the body.
  • Chest should be well formed, devoid of any abnormality like flat chest, Pigeon chest, with rickety rosary defects. Heart and lungs should be sound.
  • Limbs, hands and feet should be well formed and fully developed and there shall be perfect motion of all joints.
  • Should not have any old /mal united fracture of bones.
  • There should be free and perfect movements of all the joints.
  • Feet and toes should be well formed.
  • Should not have congenital malformation or defects. (Candidate must have completed 06 months after LASIK surgery while considering for recruitment in CAPFs).
  • Should not bear traces of previous acute or chronic disease pointing to an impaired constitution.
  • Candidate should have no disease of the genito urinary tract.
  • Candidate should have no inguinal, scrotal swelling, any type of Hernia.
  • The candidate must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose veins.
  • Candidate should not suffer from TACHYCARDIA (more than 100 pulse rate per minute) or BRADYCARDIA (Less than 50 per minute).

Distant vision 6/6 means :-
You must not have any issue in reading first 6 lines and Dcotor may ask you to read 7th also in rare case ( But that is not any concern ). The chart will be at one end of the room and you will be at second end. First 4 lines are easily readable , usually candidates face issue in 5th and 6th lines . ( For those who are cramming the lines , cram 7th line also ).
